Magic Sprinkles

about

Dec 2021.
This music piece was generated from various patterns and loops created on a mobile phone (and Propeller's FIGURE app), while outside, walking the streets and commuting on trains around London. This enabled me to explore lots of key changes and random, abstract notation. This was all imported into Cubase, boosted up, and given some further experimental percussion.
The music itself harks back to the 70's, where electronic music was still evolving from a pure form, with such tracks as "Popcorn" and "Autobahn".

A CASIO CZ-230S was played live over the tune, which was supplied by Thomas Bramall. Thanks Tom.

This was also part of two live XMAS performances in Stockport and New Mills, UK, performed with the 'BigBubbleMan' himself, Ian Russell.
